Children's Books

The Children's Agriculture Book series is an ongoing effort by Wisconsin Agriculture in the Classroom to promote books for elementary-age children that accurately portray modern agriculture.

The books are appropriate for grades K-6 and have been selected for their accuracy, readability, and overall appeal to kids. 2010 ORDER FORM

BOOK OF THE YEAR

Fantastic Farm Machines Wisconsin dairy farmer and acclaimed author Cris Peterson introduces readers to twelve big pieces of farm machinery that help get the job done. Internationally renowned photographer Daivd Lundquist shows each piece of machinery as well as fabulous aerial view and close-up details. The book also won several awards including the Nebraska Children's Agriculture Book of the Year (Grades K-3), Ohio Farm Bureau Award for Children's Literature, and was included in New Books for Missouri Students, 2007 edition produced by the Missouri State Teacher Association. The book joins several other Cris Peterson books on the Wisconsin Ag in the Classroom book list.
